March came in like a lion, and did not go out like a lamb
Thankfully spring officially arrived on March 20th even if we had snow, sleet and freezing rain. I’m grateful that at the end of this month my oldest moves back home from college. We’ve missed her, even though we got to see her and she was home on some weekends it just wasn’t the same.
✨ Here’s what’s inside this month:

🌴 All-Inclusive Spotlight

Thinking about booking an all-inclusive vacation? Here’s what you need to know to get the most out of your stay:
1. Meals & Drinks Are Included
Most all-inclusive resorts cover breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and often both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Some resorts have specialty restaurants—be sure to check if reservations are required.
2. Activities & Entertainment
From water sports and fitness classes to nightly shows and kids’ clubs, many resorts include a wide variety of activities. Some high-end resorts may charge extra for premium excursions.
3. Gratuities
Some resorts include tips in the price; others expect additional tipping. Always check the fine print so you’re prepared.
4. Room Categories
Not all rooms are created equal. Ocean-view or swim-up suites often cost more but can make a huge difference in your experience.
5. Travel Timing & Deals
Booking early can secure the best rooms and rates. Some resorts also offer “Stay More, Save More” or seasonal discounts—these can add up!
6. What’s Not Included
Even at an all-inclusive, things like spa treatments, excursions, off-site tours, and premium drinks may cost extra.
7. Planning Help Matters
Having a travel advisor ensures you get the best resort for your family, the right room category, and all the perks available—without the stress of doing it yourself.
All-inclusive vacations are perfect for those who want to relax, indulge, and let someone else handle the details. 🏝️
🚢 Cruise Corner
🌀 Cruising During Hurricane Season: What Happens if a Hurricane Strikes?
Hurricane season runs from June through November, but you can still safely enjoy your cruise with the right planning. Here’s what you need to know:
1. Cruise Lines Monitor Weather Closely
Cruise lines track storms constantly and have dedicated teams to make sure your sailing stays safe.
2. Itineraries Can Change
If a hurricane is expected along the route, ships may reroute, skip ports, or adjust the schedule to avoid rough weather. Your safety comes first.
3. Shore Excursions May Be Adjusted
Some excursions may be canceled or replaced with alternatives if ports are impacted by weather. Cruise lines will provide options so your day is still fun.
4. Communication is Key
Guests are informed immediately about changes. Cruise lines are pros at managing storms and keeping travelers updated.
5. Safety is the Top Priority
Crew are trained for storm conditions, and ships are built to handle rough seas. Your vacation may have small adjustments, but it’s still safe and enjoyable.
6. Be Prepared
Travel insurance that covers weather-related disruptions is highly recommended. Flexible booking options are a lifesaver during hurricane season.
With the right preparation, cruising during hurricane season can still be smooth sailing and a worry-free experience ⚓🌊

💡 Travel Insurance: Should You or Shouldn’t You?
Travel insurance isn’t just another optional expense—it can be the difference between a minor hiccup and a major stressor on your vacation. Here’s what to consider:
Why You Should Consider It:
Trip Cancellation or Interruption: Illness, emergencies, or unforeseen events can happen. Insurance can help recover non-refundable costs.
Weather Disruptions: Hurricanes, storms, or unexpected natural events can impact flights or cruises.
Medical Coverage Abroad: Health care costs in another country can be extremely high. Insurance provides peace of mind.
Lost or Delayed Bags: No one wants to deal with missing luggage, and insurance can reimburse essential items.
Why Some Skip It:
Short, inexpensive trips may not justify the cost.
If your trip is fully refundable or you have credit card protections, you may already have some coverage.
Travel insurance isn’t about expecting the worst—it’s about protecting your peace of mind so you can focus on enjoying the adventure. ✈️🌴
